The Taxpayer Resources Unit is seeking a customer service-oriented Taxpayer Services Representative who is familiar with state or federal income tax laws and rules and excited to educate the people of Idaho by answering customer questions related to tax matters.
Responsibilities :
- Assist taxpayers by answering inquiries concerning tax laws, rules, policies and filing requirements.
- Explain to taxpayers about compliance with tax laws and appropriate use of tax forms, allowances, itemization and schedules.
- Interview taxpayers to obtain necessary information to help taxpayers understand how to prepare tax returns, apply for permits, and / or establish payment agreements.
- Research taxpayer account status, refunds, errors, and transactions.
- Explain billings and notices. Process tax payments and compute penalty and interest.
Minimum Qualifications :
Interpreting, explaining and applying information such as laws, rules, and / or policies and procedures to customers on a regular basis
