Position Overview
The Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) is seeking a dedicated office coordinator to work as part of our program staff. This position will assist the IDOC facility performing technical office support functions regarding Earned Program Sentence Credits (EPSC). This person will need to have strong attention to detail, integrity, and ability to effectively communicate with multiple parties. We encourage all interested and qualified individuals to apply.

Essential Functions
- Performs technical office support functions regarding Earned Program Sentence Credits (EPSC) contracts.
- Develops a process to organize, monitor, and maintain individuals in custody EPSC contracts and work assignments.
- Serves as liaison regarding EPSC, work assignments, and contracts.
- Keyboards forms, documents, and letters in response to inquiries of the institution's programs.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to two (2) years of secretarial/business college. OR Requires completion of high school and two (2) years of related office experience. OR Requires two (2) years of independent business experience.
- Requires ability to keyboard accurately 30 words per minute.
- Prefers at least two (2) years of work experience utilizing software and databases to gather and retrieve information.
- Prefers at least one (1) year of work experience reviewing contracts.
- Prefers at least one (1) year of work experience developing a system to organize, monitor, and maintain information.
- Prefers at least one (1) year of work experience gathering information for report preparation.
- Prefers at least one (1) year of work experience responding to inquiries from higher level staff.
- Prefers at least two (2) years of work experience verifying and tracking contract information.
- Prefers at least one (1) year of experience in reading, interpreting, and applying rules and/or guidelines of an organization.
- Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.
- Requires ability to pass a drug screen. The use of unauthorized drugs by an employee, regardless of position held, is prohibited.
