POSITION SUMMARY
CMS HR is looking for a self-motivated and energetic candidate to fill the position of Employee Experience Representative.
This employee will assist in the development of methods and procedures for enhancing and streamlining employee experience processes.
These areas include employee engagement, employee recognition, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and employee onboarding.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and organized, detail oriented, professional, able to work independently, and experienced in the field of Human Resources.

POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Under general direction of the Employee Experience Manager, serves as the Department of Central Management Services (CMS) Employee Experience Specialist.
- Serves as the agency lead on SMC employee engagement initiatives.
- Serves as an agency lead on CMS employee recognition initiatives.
- Serves as an agency lead on administering improved employee onboarding processes.
- Coordinates with the Division of Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) to champion Diversity and Inclusion Outreach initiatives at CMS for the Human Resources Office.
- Serves as a tester and consultant for the Workforces Software (WFS) Timekeeping implementation, as well as serving as the Department of Central Management Services (CMS) backup timekeeper.
- Serves as backup agency timekeeping between Payroll and CMS Human Resources.
- Preforms other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college and one year of professional experience, preferably in human resources, or satisfactory completion of an approved training program.
PREFERRED QUALFICATIONS
- Prefers one (1) year of professional experience reviewing and interpreting collective bargaining agreements.
- Prefers one (1) year of professional experience using personnel related systems and software.
- Prefers one (1) year of professional experience developing or implementing training plans or curricula for a large organization.
- Prefers one (1) year of professional experience in gathering data and creating reports.
- Prefers one (1) year of professional experience in implementing policies and procedures.
- Prefers some college.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history.
- Overtime is a condition of employment, and you may be requested or required / mandated to work overtime including scheduled, unscheduled, or last-minute overtime.
This may require the ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate.
- Requires ability to attend seminars, conferences, and trainings to stay current on methods, tools, ideologies, or other industry related topics relevant to the job duties.
- Requires the ability to use agency technology / equipment (i.e., mobile phone, laptop, etc.) properly in accordance with information security awareness policies and confidentiality guidelines.
