Position Overview
The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a Human Resources Associate for the Ludeman Developmental Center located in Park Forest, Illinois to perform complex and specialized human resources functions by providing information, data collecting and reporting. Serves as a confidential assistant to the HR/LR Director to ensure that the departmental/facility rules, pay plans and bargaining agreements are adhered to by the staff of Ludeman Developmental Center.
Job Responsibilities
- Performs complex and specialized human resources functions, by providing information, data collecting and reporting.
- Keyboards responses to collective bargaining issues, communications and other materials in reference to labor management contracts.
- Electronically maintains and updates the personnel database.
- Maintains facility files regarding contracts, grievances, disciplinary action, special assignment material and statistical records and reports.
- Prepares suspension and discharge packets for the HR/LR Director.
- Composes correspondence and answers routine inquiries from community agencies, the public, other facilities, facility and management staff, etc. regarding the laws, policies and procedures, rules and regulations, accreditation standards, and contractual regulations.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of those duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of two (2) years of college or satisfactory completion of an approved training program.
- Requires the ability to keyboard accurately at a rate of 30 wpm.

3. Requires the ability to travel in the performance of job duties.
