Position Overview
The Division of Family and Community Services is seeking to hire a coordinator to direct, organize, plan, execute, control, and evaluate complex, specialized activities relating to scanning solutions between computer network operations. This position operates network computerized equipment, including control terminals, printers, scanners; lifts and carries up to 50 pounds of equipment/documents at one time; updates new in-state address changes from returned mail; assists in statewide scanning, registers statewide applications, redes, etc.; ensures statewide scanning contingence plans in case of a disaster, confers with system programmers on system problems; acts as a disaster recovery site for scanning in an emergency; monitors statewide scanning operations and advises management of issues; participates, leads, and trains lower level team members in testing procedures of scanning, document processing, application registration, redes, etc.

Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm; 1-hour unpaid lunch.

Essential Functions
- Serves as a Scanning Production and Testing Coordinator.
- Operates equipment including printers, scanners, and network computers.
- Conducts complex, specialized activities relating to a network scanning operation.
- Updates new in-state address changes from returned mail.
- Coordinates data transmission between the mainframe and the network.
- Serves as back-up to lower-level staff during vacancies and absences.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with coursework in business or public administration.
- Requires one (1) year of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization, or completion of an agency approved professional management training program.
- One (1) year of professional experience using or managing large scale scanning machines and managing workflow and processes.
- One (1) year of professional experience analyzing problems and providing clear instructions on the use of computerized network systems.
- One (1) year of professional experience working with public assistance eligibility system such as Integrated Eligibility Assistance (IES).
- One (1) year of professional experience utilizing critical thinking skills while multi-tasking multiple projects.
- One (1) year of professional experience documenting with strong attention to detail.
- One (1) year of professional experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and WebEx.
- Requires the ability to lift and carry equipment/documents weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate.
- Requires the ability to work overtime and/or outside of regular hours of employment.
