Position: Immediately need an experienced Sterile Processing Tech for the 3 months of the contract in Illinois.
Details:
Title: Sterile Processing Tech
Location: Urbana
Duration: 13 weeks (Extending)
Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. 8 hours. 40 hours a week.
Pay rate: Lucrative pay Benefits Bonus.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience.
- Active CRCST or CSPDT license.
- COVID Vaccinated.
- BLS / CPR Preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning, decontamination, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical devices according to established protocols.
- Maintain accurate inventory management of sterile supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are available.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during the processing of surgical instruments.
- Conduct routine inspections of sterilized items to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Document all sterilization processes and maintain records as required by regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to understand specific instrument needs for various procedures.
- Stay updated on best practices in sterile processing and participate in ongoing training as necessary.
Experience:
- Previous experience in sterile processing or a related healthcare field is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and practices.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow strict protocols and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
