You'll collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to provide crucial operational and data support for our projects and programs, while coordinating trade mission and delegation activities.

The Global Business Coordinator is a non-merit, non-contract position that is classified by the State of Iowa as an Economic Development Specialist 1 and is exempt per FLSA regulations.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with major coursework in research, planning, economics, public relations, business, corporate finance, journalism or marketing and experience equal to one year of full-time work that involved responsibility for interpreting laws, rules and regulations, and/or securing compliance with them; or compiling and evaluating statistical, historical, economic, business, financial, or technical related program data;
OR
an equivalent combination of education and experience substituting one year of the above specified experience for each year (thirty semester or equivalent hours) of the required education.

Responsibilities
Operational and Project Support
- Provide vital operational support for our projects and programs.
- Partner with program managers on data management tasks, grant cycles, application processing, and CRM system operations.
- Assist with the logistics and coordination of meetings with program managers and external stakeholders.
- Represent IEDA at meetings, conferences, and seminars.
- Participate in site visits to awarded projects, ensuring their success.
- Collect and organize data to create reports.
- Analyze data and provide narrative insights on project and program activities.
- Collaborate with project and program managers on state and federal report submissions.
- Assist with the management of programs that bring international visitors to Iowa, showcasing our state's potential.
- Coordinate logistics for special events, meetings, trade missions, and delegations.
- Ensure the success of missions and events through collaboration with program managers.
