Job Description
Judicial District has an immediate opening for a Judicial Specialist 2 to join our team in the Buchanan County Clerk of Court office in Independence, Iowa.
Under the direct supervision of the Clerk of Court and Trial Court Supervisor, candidates should have the desire to learn the complexities of our court case processing system using our statewide Electronic Document Management System (EDMS). This position may occasionally involve travel to other counties in the district.
The starting salary for new State employees is expected to be at the base of the pay range. The starting pay for this position is $18.59 per hour / $1487.20/bi-weekly. Adjustments may be made if the successful applicant has relevant experience.
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00A – 4:30P

Minimum Qualification Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited high school (or High School Equivalency) and two (2) years of successful completion of accredited post high school education in business, paralegal, computer, legal assistant or related program.
- Two (2) years of professional office experience in business, court or legal work or a related area with one (1) year of the experience involving customer service. At the discretion of the appointing authority additional years of experience may be substituted for the required post high school education.
Salary : $19
