Job Description
The Iowa Department of Transportation Right of Way Bureau is looking to fill a critical positionwithin the Appraisal Section. As a Production Coordinator (Right of Way Agent 4) , you will be responsible for supporting the alignment and organization of daily team operations through our five Core Values; Safety First, People Matter, Customer Focused, Servant Leadership, and Integrity Without Exception, and our core focus of Making Lives Better Through Transportation .
Location : Ames, Iowa
Shift Requirements : 40-hour weeks, with travel, overnights. Flexible schedule available.
As a Production Coordinator , y ou will be the subject matter expert related to all appraisal services and oversee team members assuring all project deadlines are met. You will also assure all program management duties meet compliance for State and Federal projects. Developing processes, produce Iowa DOT forms, administrative rules, and legislative proposals. All activities should be in direct relation to the department's core values goals as laid out in its business plan.
Our ideal candidate will require excellent oral and written communication skills, knowledge of the Uniform Act of 1970, along with federal and state standards and regulations relative to Right of Way policies and priorities to the public and staff.
In this role, you will travel the State of Iowa based on a schedule that you help create. We ask for a team member who can think outside the box to find the best solution for the Iowa public and have an ability to work with individuals of all race and socioeconomic class.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Graduation from an accredited college or university and experience equal to four years of full-time work as a right of way agent involved in real estate appraisal, property acquisition, real estate sales or management, or relocation assistance;
OR
an equivalent combination of education and experience substituting the equivalent of one year of full time work experience in real estate appraisal, property acquisition, real estate sales or management, relocation assistance, field-commissioned sales work, right of way engineering, other real estate development support activity, engineering survey, highway construction inspection, or as the manager of a business for each year of the required education with a maximum substitution of four years;
OR
satisfactory completion of any Appraisal Institute course, American Society of Appraisers course, American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers course, or International Right of Way Association course, or its equivalent may be substituted for each year (thirty semester hours or its equivalent) of the required education with a maximum substitution of four years.

- Inter-office communications between disciplines and reports status of work related to the Five-Year Program
- Assists with development of training programs, consultant outreach and coordination
- Maintain valid driver’s license.
