What are the responsibilities and job description for the LAK Laboratory Information System Program Specialist position at State of Louisiana?
The LAK Laboratory Information System (LIS) Program Specialist position is an unclassified position located within the Pathology Department. The salary range is $50,000 - $95,000 annually.
Qualifications:
A Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science plus three (3) years of professional level experience as a medical technologist.
Substitutions:
An associate Degree in Medical technology or Clinical Laboratory Science with four (4) years of clinical laboratory experience will substitute for the Baccalaureate degree.
License/Certifications:
Current Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
Necessary Special Requirement:
Position in Human Testing Laboratory; Licensed to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technician in the State of Louisiana as required by Louisiana Clinical Laboratory Personnel Law R.S. 37:1311-1329 and the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners.
