MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:No experience or training is required.Function of Work:
To keep building interiors, exteriors, and grounds clean and maintained.

Job Distinctions:
Differs from Custodian by the added responsibility for maintaining the grounds, working the fee station, assisting visitors, and performing general maintenance tasks.
Differs from Maintenance Repairer 1 by lack of responsibility for repair and maintenance of equipment and of structural components of buildings.
The purpose of this position is to complete various physical/ custodial/maintenance tasks to include, cleaning, preventive maintenance to state park facilities, removing litter, and trash, training volunteers and new employees, cleaning various park buildings, operating equipment and performing grounds maintenance.
60% Maintain Cleanliness
- Cleans interior and exterior of facilities at site,
- Sweeps, mops and washes site facilities,
- Removes trash.
- Cleans furniture.
- Cleans site's grounds and facilities,
- Collects litter and debris,
- Cleans picnic areas to include tables and grills,
- Reports missing, damaged, or broken equipment on the site to the appropriate maintenance staff
20% Equipment Operation and Maintenance
- Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools; buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers, high speed buffers and vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.
- Use ladders when required in work assignments.
- Performs preventive maintenance,
- Performs maintenance of facilities, grounds and support facilities and change air filters
- Performs any related duties necessary to maintain and improve the appearance of the park and enhance visitor's experience,
20% Fee Collection/Administrative Support
- Assists administrative staff in collection of appropriate fees from site visitors,
- Answers telephone inquiries,
- Provides information to park visitors.
- Provides training to volunteers and new employees on operating equipment and cleaning.
- Provides information for park guests.
- Assists other personnel in the completion of their work for the purpose of support and supplement in times of staff shortage,
Physical Demands:
- Requires ability to stoop, bend, balance, kneel, crouch, sit and stand on a regular daily basis in the cleaning of the site's facilities.
Performs other related duties as assigned and performs customer service to a high degree of excellence.
Salary : $2,123 - $3,822
