Office of Early Childhood Operations - Child Care Assistance Program
Job Focus Areas:
The part-time Social Services Analyst 1 position is located within the Division of Early Childhood - CCAP Household Eligibility, and reports to a Social Services Supervisor. The Social Services Analyst 1 is responsible for determining eligibility of CCAP applications received in a specific region. This part-time position will help to ensure the influx of applications are processed in accordance with the procedural timelines.
Duties and responsibilities performed include, but are not limited to the following:
- Reviews documents and applications from a specific region and determines client eligibility for the CCAP program
- Requests additional documents, when needed through the mail to determine eligibility
- Use CAPS, TOTS, CAFÉ, TIPS, OnBase, LINKS, Work Number and other software programs to complete the eligibility process
- Collaborate with team members, call center, and agencies both internally and externally to determine CCAP eligibility
- Make referrals for suspected fraud
- Communicate with families applying for CCAP
- Communicate with outside stakeholders to verify employment and education hours
- Communicate with peers/Supervisors/Department Heads
- Completes all other duties/projects/tasks assigned
- Interviews clients/applicants to obtain information, assess employment and educational history, work abilities, and training interests in order to determine the support services needed.

NOTE: This part-time position is not eligible for benefits or paid holidays, and has a limit to the number of hours worked (maximum of 1245 hours) in a 12 month period, beginning with the first day of employment. The hours belong to the employee and any available hours follow the employee.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Three years of experience in social services; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
