- Starting Pay: $24.97/hr.
- Base Premium Overtime Rate: $37.46/hr.
- Shift Differentials: $0.45/hr. 2nd $0.55/hr. 3rd Shift.
- Weekend Differential: 0.60/hr. straight time. $0.90/hr. for Premium Overtime.

Minimum Requirements To Apply
- At least 18-Years-Old.
- HS Diploma or Equivalent (HiSET, GED, etc.).
- Valid driver's license to apply, Maine driver’s license upon hire.
- No serious criminal or extensive motor vehicle records. See Automatic Disqualifiers
No prior experience necessary, training provided to ensure your career success.
- Six-Week paid ‘Basic Corrections Training Program’ (BCTP) w/State Certification.
- Non-residential BCTP held at MCC in Windham. If needed, lodging available & funded by MDOC.
- How to Become a Correctional Officer.
