Family Preservation / Prevention Services

Main Purpose of Job
The primary responsibility of this position is to develop specific plans, policies, procedures, and regulations for Prevention and Child Safety Services (particularly those related to the Family First Prevention Services Act) and Family Preservation Services in order to meet children's safety, permanence, and well-being needs.
POSITION DUTIES
- Monitors the compliance of 24 local departments of social services with federal and state regulations.
- Monitors complicated initiatives with a statewide scope to assess progress and efficacy.
- Examines and analyzes narrative and statistical information to assess program success and fulfill federal outcome targets at the state and local levels.
- Supports Maryland residents with complaints about child welfare services.
- Assists Local Department of Social Services and private child welfare agencies with changes and new rules under the Family First Prevention Services Act that affect child welfare services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education : A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience : Five years of experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations.
