Job Description
The Michigan Civil Service Commission is looking for a motivated individual who is organized, an effective and efficient communicator, and has exemplary analytical and problem-solving skills. This position will serve as a Human Resources Analyst or Specialist on an Office of Classification, Selection and Compensation team performing a variety of human resource consulting functions including reviewing, evaluating, and taking appropriate action on a variety of position action requests and credential reviews. This position is dedicated to meeting the differing needs of our customers; from jobseekers to state employees and agency human resources personnel. Agency Service Teams are assigned to work with HR Office staff for each state department to help meet the needs of our customers. This position is located within Civil Service Central office and not within an HR office.

The office works a hybrid schedule with one day in the Lansing office every other week and working remotely the rest of the time. This schedule is not guaranteed, and at any time, the official work location could be returned to Lansing full-time.
Required Education And Experience
This position generally requires the education acquired through the possession of a bachelor's degree in any major. Specific information on the education and experience required for different class levels is in the job specifications of the Human Resources Analyst class and in the job specifications of the Human Resources Specialist class.
