Job Description

Who We Are: The Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems. This position is with the Office of Retirement Services (ORS) area of DTMB.

About The Position: This position will support the ongoing maintenance, optimization, and enhancement of the employer reporting systems, ensuring the systems remain aligned with the organization’s operational goals and regulatory requirements. This position will be responsible for defining, testing, and implementing business requirements for system changes needed for ongoing operations. This position will assist with change initiatives related to wage & contribution reporting, as well as active member account maintenance. This position will work with Agency Services staff to define & deliver system changes using the Agile principles to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. This position will be responsible for leading training and providing guidance to internal technician staff as well as external customers. This position is a conduit for continuous improvement for the Employer Reporting process.

Position Location/Remote Office: The office location is Lansing, MI. The State of Michigan is not able to offer employment to out of-state applicants that do not plan to relocate. The Department of Technology Management and Budget currently offers a hybrid work option which requires two days working on-site at the official work location and three days of remote work per week.

Required Education And Experience

Education

Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

Experience

Departmental Analyst 9

No specific type or amount is required.

Departmental Analyst 10

One year of professional experience.

Departmental Analyst P11

Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.

Alternate Education And Experience

Departmental Analyst 9 - 12

Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.
