This position is responsible for reviewing and reconciling accounting reports for the Finance Division and is a financial analyst for the Finance Division. Responsibilities include budget development for grant programs, reimbursement processing, and grant management of water infrastructure programs. Incumbent is responsible for creating and maintaining budget tracking and reconciliation documents, along with processing payments. This position will also be responsible for completing internal and external reporting requirements.

Position Description


The work location for this position is Constitution Hall in Lansing. However, the selected candidate may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule (combination of remote and in-person) or a fully remote work schedule (with occasional travel to their official work location).  Employees approved for schedules that include remote work must complete that work within Michigan. Relocation expenses are not reimbursed.  When working remote, employees must use a designated workspace that is safe and professionally appropriate, allows for privacy, minimizes distractions, and includes secure internet access. Details regarding work location and schedule options for this position may be discussed during the interview process.   

Education

Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major with at least 24 semester (36 term) credits in accounting, finance, and economic courses.
 

Experience

Financial Analyst 9
No specific type or amount is required.

Financial Analyst 10
One year of professional experience providing a systematic review, analysis, interpretation, and/or evaluation of budgets, mortgages, loans, or other financial data, equivalent to a Financial Analyst 9.

Financial Analyst P11
Two years of professional experience providing a systematic review, analysis, interpretation, and/or evaluation of budgets, mortgages, loans, or other financial data, equivalent to a Financial Analyst, including one year equivalent to a Financial Analyst 10.
