It works as a part of an integrated team to assist Rehabilitation Professionals in providing direct client services to blind and low-vision customers throughout the State of Michigan. Working with and in coordination with management, rehabilitation professionals, service providers, community partners, and the dual customer, this position will provide: Support and coordinate initial intake and service provision from eligibility through closure. This will include contact with staff, applicants, customers, community partners, service providers, and employers.Assistance to Rehabilitation Professionals through detailed data entry into the electronic case management system, authorization and payment for customer services and equipment, working in a paperless filing system, and utilizing electronic signatures.Ability to generate reports, interpret and compare the data to previous data pulls, and assist management as directed.The individual in this role shall work to reduce the administrative burden of rehabilitation counselors, embracing agreed-upon core values driving BSBP goals and customer outcomes.Rehabilitation Services Coordinator 9-P11 - Position DescriptionThere is a possibility of a remote/hybrid schedule based on performance and operational need. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Education Possession of a bachelor’s degree with a major in rehabilitation counseling/services, secondary education, special education, business, human resources, social work, psychology, guidance and counseling, or occupational therapy. Experience Rehabilitation Services Coordinator 9 No specific type or amount is required. Rehabilitation Services Coordinator 10 One year of professional experience providing rehabilitation services coordination equivalent to a Rehabilitation Services Coordinator 9. Rehabilitation Services Coordinator P11 Two years of professional experience providing rehabilitation services coordination equivalent to a Rehabilitation Services Coordinator, including one year equivalent to a Rehabilitation Services Coordinator 10.
