Job Summary
The FOD IT Coordinator works closely with division management, product managers, subject matter experts, and project teams and multiple MNIT DHS teams to ensure FOD’s technical solutions address the needs of the division, the agency, and the people we serve.
- Serve as the division-wide point person, primary analyst, and key day-to-day decision maker for FOD application work request submission, review, and prioritization efforts.
- Establish and manage the division’s IT initiative documentation, progress tracking, and status reporting processes to ensure the efforts are clearly defined, transparently prioritized, and regularly monitored.
- Lead project teams and continuous learning efforts grounded in IT product and project management best practices.
- Research, analyze, and diagnose customer needs.
- Advise/consult management on how to implement and integrate new technologies.
- Provide leadership with information and recommendations necessary for decision making and long-range organization and systems planning.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

Two (2) years of experience in information technology (IT) project management or business systems analysis.
Experience must demonstrate:
- Knowledge of information management principles and current information technology strategies and trends, including concepts like the product lifecycle, road mapping, backlog refinement, feature prioritization, and user research and analysis.
- Knowledge of project management and business analysis principles and methodologies.
- Organization and coordination skills sufficient to manage an active portfolio of projects.
- Skills in statistical methods, data analysis, and other measurement techniques sufficient to evaluate program and/or process results and design and develop guidelines and standards.
- Ability to understand user needs, pain points, and perspectives to recommend products or adaptions that address their requirements.
- Strategic planning skills sufficient to identify future needs and solutions to problems.
- Skills in communication techniques, both oral and written, to mobilize action to achieve organizational goals and coach and advise other staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Skills in leadership sufficient to carry out actions while exercising tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to provide clear direction and support to others.
- Knowledge of DHS financial operations processes.
- Skills in Microsoft Visio or other process mapping software.
- Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
