Essential Job Duties
- Working collaboratively with cross functional teams, performs business analysis related to various functions and operational processes and systems across the division to understand current state, identify gaps, and recommend solutions.
- Prepare process documentation including such things as process flow charts, business needs assessments, risk assessments, cost/benefit analysis and reports.
- Support change management efforts by facilitating communication sessions, actively listening, and drafting new division policies and process documentation and incorporating those changes into the work in the division.
- Provide training and coaching to impacted staff.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with division and Agency staff in all phases of the work.
- Provide business consulting services to internal stakeholders, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Writes, develops, maintains, and manages the Operational policies and procedures manual for the Single-Family division.
- Implement various initiatives to support continuous improvement within the division.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- A minimum of (3) three years of Mortgage Operations management or operations management in a consumer-focused financial services organization that performs similar functions.
- Experience in change management, internal organizational control methodologies, process improvement techniques and problem analysis are critical for the solutions to be implemented well.
- Demonstratable experience writing and maintaining procedures, manuals and process documents related to consumer mortgage lending is required as this person will create artifacts that follow plain language principles, are clear, concise, and accurately depict the information necessary for others to understand and carryout the guidelines/information contained in those documents.
- Proficient in project management principles and methodologies with the ability to independently lead an operations project from concept through implementation.
- Proven experience in business process analysis, preferably in a consulting or advisory role, with the ability to analyze complex problems, identify solutions and create change.
- This person will need to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, influence others and build strong relationships with stakeholders to be successful in their role.
- Advance level expertise with the Microsoft suite of tools: Word, Excel, Visio (preferred over other process mapping tools) and PowerPoint to create the artifacts necessary to fulfill their work assignments.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operational Management or Real Estate, or similarly related degree
- Experience working as a Lending partner with Minnesota Housing's Single-Family homeownership programs.
- Experience in the Secondary Mortgage Market
- Certifications in Mortgage Banking or Business Process analysis
