Job Summary
The Chief Medical Officer is a member of the Healthcare Division Executive Team and serves as the physician responsible for the overall care and clinical practice carried out at all Minnesota Department of Veteran Affairs (MDVA) facilities. The Medical Director applies clinical and administrative skills to guide the facilities in providing care. Provides direction to the Healthcare Division to identify medical services priorities and clinical best practice standards, quality initiatives and best practice implementation within Minnesota Veterans Home (MVH) facilities.
The incumbent of this position will require traveling to all Minnesota Veterans Homes and being onsite depending on business needs. The Minnesota Veterans home locations are : Preston, Luverne, Fergus Falls, Montevideo, Bemidji, Silver Bay, Hastings, and Minneapolis.
