Job Summary
Hybrid work environment with potential for teleworking up to 50% of the time. Primary work location will be the Golden Rule Building in St. Paul.
This position exists to investigate complaints of moderate complexity involving issues received by consumers, the industry, the Governor's office, legislative representatives, senators, agents, other states' insurance departments, other state agencies, federal agencies, various associations and law enforcement agencies to determine whether violations of Minnesota law are present. Areas of investigation include Collection Agencies, Money Transmitters, Regulated Lending, other non-banking financial institutions, Currency Exchangers, Bullion Product Dealers, Credit Services, Debt Management and Settlement Services and Ticket Resellers.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
-
Two (2) years of experience performing analysis or investigations, exercising judgment, and relying on knowledge related to consumer financial products.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field is equivalent to one (1) year of experience.
- An Advanced degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field is equivalent to eighteen (18) months of experience.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (outlook, excel, word).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant.
- Juris Doctor.
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field.
- Data analysis experience from inception to generation of comprehensive, understandable, detailed reports.
Physical Requirements
Requires occasional moving of articles such as boxes, accounting records, laptop computer, and portable printer.
Additional Requirements
