Job Summary

As the COMPASS Culturally Responsive Instructional Leadership Specialist, you will provide guidance, support and professional development in culturally responsive leadership, instructional leadership, community engaged leadership, and systems leadership through the COMPASS Regional Teams and across the agency. Duties will include:

  • Co-Lead the development, curation, and refinement of guidance, professional development and aligned support structures for culturally responsive instruction leadership, aligned within the MnMTSS framework.
  • Provide research and guidance for the analysis of education systems to be culturally responsive and culturally responsible through principal support and development.
  • Assist with establishing goals and objectives aligned to the statewide system of support for culturally responsive systems, leadership, instruction and equitable access for student groups.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

5 years of professional experience in school leadership, experience with culturally responsive instructional leadership or similar experience

OR

A bachelor's degree and 4 years of professional experience in school leadership, experience with culturally responsive instructional leadership or similar experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in academic research
  • Experience and understanding of adult learning theory
