This position exists to assist in the coordination of the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Veterans Health Care including support to all central office health care staff and their respective programs. This position is responsible for managing and coordinating the administrative functions for the office and all support staff within Veterans Health Care Central Office. Responsibilities would include overall office management, ensuring that communication is delivered to all programs and homes, ensuring that technology needs are met for staff members, assist with the coordination of projects such as SharePoint development and Policy Workflow. This position also exists to perform other special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Two (2) years of experience providing administrative support at an executive or senior management level.
Experiences must demonstrate the following:
- Communications skills sufficient to draft, review, and edit correspondence and deliver customer service.
- Computer software skills such as Microsoft Office Suite, share point, multi-line phone systems, Zoom and Webex.
- Ability to manage calendars and schedules including coordinating business travel arrangements and scheduling meetings.
- Knowledge of purchasing sufficient to purchase materials such as office supplies and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing administrative support in a health-care setting.
- Knowledge of Veterans’ services and related state or federal regulations and policies.

This position requires successful completion of the following:
