This position provides direction, coordination, and strategic planning, reporting, analysis, and project management for federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) / Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) and interrelated programs in the Economic Assistance and Employment Supports Division (EAESD). The incumbent will be responsible for providing project management, expertise and direction in the design and implementation of EAESD initiatives, including required contracts, state plan amendments, legislation, legal analysis, and business needs analysis. They will also lead and participate in efforts to manage division resources, define and control scope of work efforts, and set and manage division standards through governance structures. They will be accountable for division compliance with federal policy and systems requirements; and advise management concerning recommended policy changes and situations requiring immediate attention. The position will have lead worker responsibilities for implementation of EAESD initiatives. The incumbent will apply a Whole Family Systems approach to all of the work planned and undertaken for this position and include using an equity lens for planning, analysis, reporting and implementation of EAESD initiatives.
Responsibilities include :
- State level planning for strategic development initiatives and implementation.
- Lead cross division teams in the ongoing planning and project management process for high-impact initiatives tied to EAESD programs and operations.
- Ensure the division has updated documentation, processes and capabilities to comply with TANF reporting requirements.
Minimum Qualifications :
Three (3) years of specialized experience working with leadership and leading complex strategic projects across the division and the agency to lift systems change efforts. Experience must include the following :
