Job Summary

This position is located at Central Office in St. Paul and has the flexibility to telework, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent may be expected to work in the office on occasion.

The position you will be responsible for assembling, converting, and updating geospatial data for the internal and external web-based applications for the Office of Land Management. Additional responsibilities include performing comparative and detailed analysis between property records and digital files to accurately represent boundaries and right of way interests through research and standardized data; and supporting internal and external customers on their request for information in the use of agency maps, data, services, and application.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s in geography, geography information systems (GIS), surveying, planning, or computer science OR one year of professional statistics or data analysis experience OR two years of technical experience.

Experience must demonstrate:

  • Experience manipulating data within ArcGIS or CAD software.
  • Experience analyzing spatial/geospatial data.

An associate degree in geography, geography information systems (GIS), surveying, planning, or computer science may substitute for six months of professional statistics or data analysis experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting property or right of way legal descriptions.
  • Experience assembling and mapping property boundaries.
  • Experience providing technical support to ArcGIS or CAD software.
