Job Summary
The Minnesota Forensic Services Program - St. Peter is seeking an individual to join our Quality Team for an exciting and rewarding opportunity as a Strategy and Performance Coordinator! The coordinator is responsible for development, coordination, implementation, and management of Strategic Planning activities and engagement.
This position will develop methods of support and facilitate enhancing engagement in Strategic Plan initiatives and focus areas throughout Forensic Services. The position will assist in alignment of goals identified by Forensic Services Leadership and promote engagement by staff in the strategies that increase the quality of care and services to the people served at Forensic Services. The Strategic Planning Coordinator oversees the development of processes and procedures for ensuring compliance with state and federal standards and requirements which govern healthcare licenses and accreditation. The Strategic Planning Coordinator will direct activities to monitor, audit, analyze, and report program performance against established standards. As a contributor to the Forensic Services Leadership Team, the Coordinator will provide leadership in organizational planning and will advise the team of quality issues which require organizational solutions.
Job duties for this position include but are not limited to:
- Lead the development, coordination, implementation and management of the FS Strategic Plan and associated initiatives under the direction of the FS Quality Director and FS Exec Team.
- Ensure active and effective engagement in strategic plan development, initiatives and strategies through processes such as: Strategic Planning processes, Strategic Planning updates and communication, Performance improvement projects, and monitoring of key quality indicators.
- Provide the FS Leadership Team, FS Director of Quality, and DCT Strategic Planning Director with the information and data analysis necessary for decision making and long-range planning on program implications. Implement data processes that support ability to analyze data to provide recommendations, monitor performance metrics, and identify opportunities for improvement in facility engagement in planning strategies.
- Develop and implement FS Strategic Planning educational materials (written materials and other creative mechanisms) to support enhanced engagement by all staff throughout FS in the Strategic Plan. Engagement in integration activities in all areas of the facility.
- Drafting policies, working with medical staff and leaders, and researching best practice standards.
- Direct activities to monitor, audit, analyze, and report program performance against established standards.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Three (3) years or more of professional experience in a healthcare or human services related field.
- Ability to gather, analyze and present forensic data findings.
- Knowledge of process improvement and project management skills.
- Knowledge of computer applications for documentation of flow charts, trending of data, report findings, and project management.
Note: A Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare administration, nursing, public health, or social work may substitute for one year of experience. A Master’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, public health, or social work may substitute for two years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Must have strong knowledge of the operation of healthcare systems, person-centered services, the trends and innovations in the area of quality control management, the operation of administrative state agencies, relevant state and federal agencies, and accrediting organizations.
- Ability to analyze data.
- Ability to synthesize reports, and present findings to necessary entities in a professional and concise manner.
- Experience in project management roles, facilitation of project teams, and engagement in organizational strategic planning processes.
