Job Summary
As the Technical Liaison for the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE), you will serve as a technical resource for the Chief Operating Office and point of contact for staff. Duties will include:
- Provide support, guidance, and expertise to ensure optimal efficiency and performance of software applications, hardware, and technical processes used across the division of the Office of the Chief Operating Officer;
- Bridge communication between staff and Minnesota IT Services (MNIT) resources, collaborating with MNIT to resolve issues, implement upgrades, and provide training on technical tools and procedures;
- Enhance operational effectiveness, promote informed decision-making and ensure technical solutions align with MDE's goals.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- One (1) year of business, system or process analysis - having the ability to hear requirements and transform them into solution, design, process or like interpretive tool and skillset.
- One (1) year proven skills of working in a team environment and with Agile methodologies to support product and continuous improvement mindset.
- Three (3) years working with M365 apps such as SharePoint, Power BI, Bookings and Power Apps
Preferred Qualifications
- A college degree in computer science, management information system, or combination of related fields
- Microsoft certifications
- Ability to work independently to delivery and collaboratively to problem solve and create
- Experience working with executives and diverse staff with a wide range of experience, skills and on-the-job
- Prior experience working with or knowledge of Minnesota IT Services (MNIT)
- Ability to share knowledge and empower subject matter experts
- A curiosity to continue to learn and develop new skills in new technology areas
