See MSPB Careers for information regarding this classificationsThird-level Auditor accountable for independently organizing, leading and executing the most comprehensive audits for a State agency or within their assigned function. At this level, employees may either manage the entire audit function within an agency or lead a team of auditors in an agency. This position may also lead and complete audits requiring specialized skills and operate within a framework of professional standards that apply to a specific auditing function (e.g., internal, State, Governmental) to develop a plan, determine scope and objectives, and develop procedures and secure resources needed to complete the audit. This may include coordinating, assigning, and reviewing the work of the audit team and evaluating the overall results and effectiveness of audits. Duties also may include auditing internal controls and monitoring compliance with state and federal laws.Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years of experience.
