About the Agency : The Mississippi Public Service Commission supervises and regulates certain communication companies, electric, gas, water, and sewer utilities. It is the Commission's responsibility to see that rates and charges for service are just and reasonable, that approved rates are adhered to, that utility service is reasonably adequate, and that facilities constructed or acquired by utilities are required to serve the public. About the Position : The Southern District seeks a qualified professional to serve as a Customer Service Representative. This person will be a valued member of the complaint investigative staff and responsible for handling consumer complaints of the Southern District. A Customer Service Representative will be assigned multiple complaints a day so an ability to multitask is essential. It is the Customer Service Representatives' job to ensure utility customers are receiving fair and adequate service from their provider.

- Experience with office equipment (i.e., fax, printer, scanner, etc.)

This is level-two Customer Service Representative work accountable for assisting with providing customer service that requires knowledge of procedures and processes within a specific area or function. At this level, employees provide information, answers, and guidance using technical knowledge acquired through experience.
