See MSPB Careers for information regarding this classificationsSupervisory-level Nutritionist accountable for professional level work in planning, adaptation, and implementation of the nutritional components of general or specialized public health programs; evaluating nutrition program services; or resource development and training in a district health office, or in a specialized public health program. Accountable for the creation of individual meal plans and oversight of food preparation. Counsels clients on how to lead healthier lifestyles and prevent or manage health issues related to nutrition. Employee supervision includes hire recommendations; training; work planning, assignments, and review; and performance assessment, coaching, and progressive discipline. Supervision at this level also requires these employees to have the knowledge and skills to perform and review the work overseen.Typically requires a Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant discipline and 3-5 years of experience as a Nutritionist.
