What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admissions Coordinator position at State of Missouri?
One of our favorite things at the Missouri Veterans Home is welcoming Veterans to their new home with us. As an Admissions Coordinator, you get to do just that. From answering phones to giving Home tours to processing applications, you are often the first person Veterans and their families interact with at our Home. Hourly Pay: $18.81
Examples of Work
- Coordinate the recruitment, selection, placement and admission of Veterans to the Home
- Gather all necessary admission information and ensure timely processing of applications for admission
- Contact applicants and schedule admissions, assigning resident rooms initially, coordinating with appropriate departments
- Explain sensitive issues to residents and families, such as living will, advance directives, funeral arrangements, etc.
- Manage resident census according to Home census goals and maintain waiting list
- Establish and maintain effective relations with Social Services, Nursing, Physicians and various organizations
- Provide facility tours to applicants and their families
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in areas such as the following:
- Interaction with individuals where care and compassion was essential
- Management of a caseload/workload that required great attention to timeliness and details
- Interaction with various individuals or organizations to achieve a goal
- Data entry and maintenance
