Staff Development Training Specialist (SD00005)
Northwest Community Services is recruiting for a Training Specialist, domiciled in Higginsville, to be a part of a highly effective team that supports over 500 employees, that makes a difference in the lives of adults with developmental disabilities. NWCS is a state operated program within the Department of Mental Health and supports 130 individuals receiving 24/7 residential services in their own homes across four counties.
The Training Specialist must be detailed orientated, work well with others, have good time management skills, poses leadership skills, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be proficient with Microsoft Excel and other computer programs and willing to travel.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will be responsible for all training needs and in-services for the Northwest Community Services waiver program – general orientation training, annual refresher training, Safety-Care, CPR/First Aide, and other training as required by the Department/Agency, as well as in-services of procedures and policies of Northwest Community Services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
SCHEDULE:
Scheduled to work 8 am to 4:30 pm with Saturday and Sunday as days off, with flexibility per agency needs.
