The Division of Purchasing is responsible for the purchase of products and services needed by state agencies to fulfill their missions in the Executive Branch.
As a vocational-level position in the Division of Purchasing, the Procurement Associate receives hands-on training for conducting simplistic competitive procurement processes for agency-requested products and/or services.
The Procurement Associate will receive training for using web-based eProcurement technology tools for conducting procurement activity.
What You'll Do:
- Review and prepare simplistic solicitation documents for issuance
- Issue the simplistic solicitation and facilitate vendor inquiries
- Evaluate and award the bids received
- Prepare contract amendments and renewals
- High School Diploma
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to communicate effectively via phone and email
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, agency staff, and vendors
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks or projects
