Risk Management Technician Series

This position may be filled at one of two levels based on knowledge, skills, and abilities. The entry salary is posted above, with the senior starting salary of $41,685.12.

Job Location: Central Office, 105 West Capitol Avenue, Jefferson City, Missouri

Why you’ll love this position:

The risk management technician provides routine administrative and paraprofessional support in risk management programs, including general liability, fleet vehicle liability, workers' compensation, property damage, and safety and employee health programs, including resolving routine issues and questions with a moderate degree of independence. Complex questions and nonstandard issues are referred to the appropriate personnel. Responsibilities are performed under moderate supervision.

What you’ll do:

• Maintaining medical files and web-based database for workers' compensation claims.
• Acting as a liaison between the department, employees, and medical personnel for workers' compensation claims.
• Processing invoices in a timely manner.
• Providing reports on workers' compensation information.

All you need for success:

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET
• Two years of advanced (beyond entry-level) clerical experience in risk management related positions

Special Working Conditions:

• Job requires occasional, statewide, overnight travel.
