Job Description:
The Inventory Control Manager is responsible to oversee the requisitioning, warehousing, and transfer of raw materials and supplies to support business units in five NDCS facilities.

Duties
- Support a diverse manufacturing and service organization by tracking and maintaining raw and finished material inventory levels, maintaining adequate quantity on hand while avoiding overstock.
- Orders appropriate quantities of raw materials as needed taking advantage of quantity discounts. Manage receiving process to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Lead inventory process improvement, complete daily cycle counts and select annual inventories.
- Identify potential suppliers and evaluate all suppliers' performance.
- Communicate with purchasing, sales, production and vendors.
- Supervise and train offenders to assemble and package products.
Requirements/Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: High school education plus four to six years related work experience, two of which should have been in a supervisory capacity.
Preferred Qualifications: Diverse raw materials knowledge including wood, wood products, steel, hardware, upholstery and clothing fabrics. Experience assembling products in a manufacturing environment; using Inventory Tracking Software in a manufacturing environment; material resource planning (MRP) experience; APICS membership/certification; physical inventory, cycle counts, warehouse management experience.
Other: Must have a valid driver's license. Applicant accepting a job offer must pass the following pre-employment exams in this order: medical exam and, at a randomly announced time, pass a drug test. Once at the Staff Training Academy, must successfully complete the fully paid NE Corrections Training Program.
