Job Description:
JOB DUTIES:
- Oversee the parks building maintenance team and preform work in carpentry, plumbing, heating/air conditioning, and electrical work in the maintenance of cabins, park facilities and building structures.
- Oversight and performance in maintaining the park's major utility systems which includes a freshwater system and water tower, secondary electrical feeds, and wastewater treatment system.
- Assist with maintenance and management programs for the parks swimming pool.
- Maintain park roads and walk network including sand, removal of ice and snow with plow or shovel as necessary.
- Schedule and perform preventative maintenance and repairs for equipment, systems and machinery.
- Clean, maintain and repair all tools and equipment used in the performance of assigned tasks.
- Perform related work as required.

Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree or equivalent vocational education in construction, HVAC, welding, or other maintenance/construction trade and one year of experience in building maintenance or a mechanical trade. Experience may substitute for the education on a year for year basis. OR An Associate degree or equivalent vocational education in HVAC and one year experience servicing/maintaining/repairing HVAC systems. Experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year for year basis.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of methods, practices, tools and equipment used in building trades, maintenance and repair work.
- Ability to perform skilled work in carpentry, plumbing and electrical trades, determine the materials and equipment necessary to repair building structures, equipment and fixtures.
- Lift and move objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds.
- Work with hazardous chemicals/compounds i.e. chlorine and various acids.
- Work in wet and dirty environments fixing water lines, sewer pumps, etc. as well as cramped spaces above and below ground level.
- Available to work any shift as scheduled or in the event of an emergency.
- Ability to lead and schedule maintenance staff in performing similar duties throughout the park.
