Every individual within DHHS makes an impact; we want to elevate, engage, and empower those who choose to spend their energy making the world a little brighter.

  • Assist in program development and policy improvement.
  • Deliver staff training on psychological best practices and risk management techniques.
  • Provide expert testimony for mental health board hearings.
  • Collaborate with the Psychiatry team to determine patient diagnoses.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate in Psychology. Licensed to practice psychology in Nebraska or eligible for a provisional license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of post-doctorate experience.
  • Experience working with patients with severe mental illness.
Salary: $60.00/hour (Licensed) | $55.28/hour (Provisionally Licensed)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; occasional weekend shifts may be required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong collaboration skills with an interdisciplinary team.
  • Ability to develop and implement psychological treatment programs.
  • Understanding of the Nebraska Mental Health Commitment Act.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
