Under limited supervision and direction of the Regional Site Support Administrator, this position will be responsible for mentoring and guidance of Desktop Support staff with supporting over 70 State Agencies. Providing onsite and remote desktop support. The position will assist in developing budgets, establishing rates, and setting standards for staff performance.
This position is in office at 301Centennial Mall South, Lincoln, NE 68509. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm.

Job duties
Candidate will provide technical support at a supervisor level for our Desktop Support staff. The candidate will work closely with customers to determine the best course of action for their computer needs and Agency enterprise refresh plans and IT projects. Analyzing existing computer systems and making recommendations for upgrades and improvements. Developing and overseeing the installation of systems, which include software and hardware. Performing tests and troubleshooting, as well as quality assurance. Implementing safety procedures and data recovery plans. Recruiting, training, and evaluating staff members. Developing user manuals, as well as policies, procedures, and safety protocols. Collaborating with other departments and professionals in the development of IT systems. Ensuring all installations, maintenance, and upgrades are carried out on schedule and to client specifications. Delegating tasks and developing budgets and work schedules. Staying up to date with field advancements and ensuring the team receives refresher training as well. Other duties as assigned within the scope of the classification
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications : A bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems, mathematics, engineering or other related field and two years of experience in a related information technology discipline (network infrastructure, coding, systems or database); experience can be substituted for education on a year for year basis, one year of which as a project coordinator, leader, or supervisor.
Preferred Qualifications : Degree in computer science, IT, or similar experience. Degree or completed courses in business administration would be advantageous. Practical experience installing and maintaining systems is recommended. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
Other : Regular and reliable attendance is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience supporting a desktop environment Experience or familiarity with Active Directory and SCCM.
