Pay range is $47.919 - $71.880 per hour. The pay rate may be commensurate with education and/or experience within fiscal constraints if approved.
JOB DUTIES:
Overseeing IT Operations requires a balance of strategic leadership, technical expertise, and process management. Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Business Relationship Management – Align IT services with business needs, fostering partnerships and driving technology solutions.
- Team Leadership & Development – Build and mentor a high-performing IT team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
- Solutions Management – Ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of transportation-related IT systems.
- Service Delivery Oversight – Manage IT support teams to provide timely, effective technical assistance and maintain high customer satisfaction
- Incident & Problem Management – Develop processes to quickly identify, resolve, and prevent IT issues to minimize downtime.
- Budgeting & Resource Allocation – Manage IT budgets, optimize costs, and allocate resources effectively to support organizational goals.
- Process Improvement – Continuously enhance IT operations through automation, best practices, and efficiency improvements.
- Security & Compliance – Ensure IT operations follow cybersecurity protocols, regulatory requirements, and risk management strategies.
- Vendor & Contract Management – Oversee relationships with technology vendors, ensuring service agreements meet business objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualications:
Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems, mathematics, engineering or other related field and two years of experience in related information technology discipline(s) (network infrastructure, coding, systems or database), and two years of experience supervising activities of professional level IT Staff; experience can be substituted for education on a year for year basis, two years of which should be as a project coordinator, leader, or supervisor.
Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated experience in:
- 8 years of progressive IT experience, including leadership in IT operations, infrastructure, or service management.
- Enterprise technology support teams and drive IT strategy, process optimization, and governance.
- Project management, including vendor negotiations, resource planning, and organizational change management.
- Successfully led cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and improving service delivery.
- Communication, facilitation, and decision-making.
- Commitment to customer service excellence and continuous process improvement.
- Motivate and lead teams to achieve complex project goals.
