If so, come join the Materials and Research team at the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT).Job Duties :
- Through the use of MS Outlook and Excel, will review shipments of asphaltic materials and schedule random samples of such.
- Log in and track samples being received.
- Through on-the-job training, will use analytical laboratory equipment to conduct basic tests of asphaltic materials and help with cleaning and maintaining lab equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements / Qualifications : Minimum Qualifications : High school education or the equivalent.Preferred Qualifications :
- Education or experience in highway construction inspection or working in a general laboratory environment.
- Experience in inventory tracking.
- Experience in using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Outlook.Other : Regular and reliable attendance is required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Must be able to safely move, drag, lift, load and unload various materials and supplies with or without assistance.
- Ability to multi-task sample tracking and testing.
