The Division of Public and Behavioral Health, Northern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services in Sparks, NV is recruiting for a Clinical Social Worker 3. Clinical Social Workers provide clinical services to clients/inmates in a residential, home, inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation, correctional or similar setting. This Clinical Social Worker 3 position will serve as the Director of Social Services for Dini-Townsend hospital at Northern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services. Dini-Townsend is a 30-bed acute psychiatric hospital for individuals with Severe Mental Illness (SMI). This position will supervise the other inpatient Clinical Social Workers as they provide clinical services to clients in an inpatient setting. This position is responsible to work with the Medical Director and the Director of Nursing (DON) to ensure that any concerns about patient care are being addressed. To Qualify
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Qualifications
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker by the Board of Examiners for Social Workers, and one year of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting. Special Notes Incumbents must obtain and maintain licensure or provisional licensure to engage in social work as a Clinical Social Worker or associate in social work in accordance with NRS Chapter 641B and the regulations adopted by the Board of Examiners for Social Workers. Persons employed by a government agency on July 1, 1988 as a social worker, supervisor of social work or administrator of social work who were performing clinical social work duties, and who possess a license to practice as an associate in social work and who meet the experience requirements are eligible to compete in the selection process for this series. Special Requirements A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items. A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. The Examination Application Evaluation Exam The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by the hiring agency for interview.
