This position is located in Winnemucca, NV. This position is part of a 7/8-man crew that performs roadside maintenance, winter operations, betterments and emergency incident response. This crew covers 203.07/ 247.680 lane miles. To Qualify
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Qualifications
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) One year of experience performing basic highway maintenance work; OR one year of experience as a Highway Maintenance Worker I in Nevada State service. Special Notes In order to meet the needs of specialized disciplines within the highway maintenance field, certified equipment proficiency or specialized skills may be required for Highway Maintenance Worker III's and IV's and will be identified at the time of recruitment. Special Requirements This position requires an applicant be at least 18 years of age upon application. If selected, proof of being at least 18 years of age will be required. This position may require working alternate shifts and outside of traditional business hours. The hours for this position are subject to change depending on the needs of the appointing authority and may be five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts. Tell us how you heard about us! Pursuant to NRS 284.4066, this position has been identified as affecting public safety. Persons offered employment in this position must submit to a pre-employment screening for controlled substances. In addition, federal law requires random testing for controlled substances during employment. A valid driver's license is required at the time of application and as a condition of continuing employment. Additional Position Criteria A valid Class A or B commercial driver's license is required within six months of employment. The Examination Application Evaluation Exam The exam will consist of an application evaluation.
