Right-of-Way Agents appraise, acquire, relocate, clear, and manage real property, coordinate with utility operators for the State and as requested, its political subdivisions. Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training. This position requires knowledge and experience with the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970, as amended (Uniform Act) and all applicable Code of Federal Regulations. This position may also coordinate with Utility Companies, Municipalities, Public Utility Commission, UPRR and other impacted parties for relocation and adjustment of facilities in conflict with Department projects. ***THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED. To Qualify
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, real estate, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in right-of-way operations, real property appraisal, planning and zoning, escrow and title, real estate, tax assessment, real estate development, or similar area; OR one year of experience as a Right-of-Way Agent I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Special Requirements A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continued employment. The Examination Application Evaluation Exam The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by the hiring agency for interview. The hiring agency may require specific skills related testing as part of the interviewing process.
