The Nevada DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES (DCFS) is recruiting for a Social Worker 2 underfilling a Social Worker 3 position in Fallon. Position works under supervision to provide child welfare services to children and families to include but not limited to: Assess and manage on-going safety threats throughout the life of the case; deliver strength-based family centered case management permanency services to families that promote the safety and well-being and permanency of children. Ensure children have their medical, mental health and educational needs met. Ensure Case Plans are developed and reviewed in accordance w/ policy and practice guidelines; documentation of assessments, CFT's, monthly caseworker visits, court reports, social summaries, diligent search efforts, TPR packets and other pertinent paperwork. A current Nevada Social Work license is a requirement for employment. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Licensure or provisional licensure as a Social Worker, Clinical Social Worker, Independent Social Worker, or Associate in Social Work and one year of professional experience providing case management in a social work setting equivalent to a Social Worker I in Nevada State service; OR one year of experience as a Social Worker I in Nevada State service. Special Requirements A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant. Licensure or provisional licensure by the State of Nevada Board of Examiners for Social Workers as a Social Worker, Clinical Social Worker, Independent Social Worker, or Associate in Social Work is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of employment. The Examination Application Evaluation Exam The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by the hiring agency for interview.
