The Position
Grounds Maintenance Workers perform landscape, garden and greenhouse duties such as planting, pruning, mowing, trimming, watering, fertilizing, weeding and snow and ice prevention and removal; and operate hand and power tools, power mowers, tractor mowers, trenching devices, forklifts and hoists.

The Grounds Maintenance Worker 2 is responsible for a diverse range of landscapes, garden, and greenhouse activities aimed at maintaining and enhancing the aesthetic and functional quality of outdoor spaces. Key responsibilities include planting, pruning, mowing, trimming, watering, fertilizing, and weeding. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Six months of experience performing basic grounds maintenance work; OR six months of experience as a Grounds Maintenance Worker I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
A valid drivers license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
