The Position
Under immediate supervision, incumbents perform duties below the journey level while receiving training for advancement to an entry-level professional health/human services class.
The Division of Child and Family Services is recruiting for a Health and Human Services Professional Trainee underfilling for Psychiatric Caseworker 2, with the Wraparound in Nevada (WIN) Program in Carson City. WIN is a community-based program that provides intensive tiered care coordination/targeted case management to children/youth with serious emotional disturbances who have complex needs across multiple domains. WIN utilizes a screening/assessment process in partnership with youth and families to determine their needs and the appropriate level of care coordination. WIN provides tiered care coordination that includes both High Fidelity Wraparound (HFW) and FOCUS. Both models are embedded in the System of Care values and principles and place the child/youth and their family at the center of all planning. This position performs a variety of duties across community-based settings including youth and family homes. Duties include developing, coordinating, and monitoring plans of care, coordinating, and collaborating with community service providers, and partnering with youth and their families to develop and facilitate child and family team meetings. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, early childhood development, psychology, public health, special education, nursing, or other discipline directly related to the field in which the applicant is to be trained; OR two years of journey level technical or paraprofessional experience in the field in which the applicant is to be trained. (NOTE: some jobs strictly require a bachelor's degree).
Special Notes
Some series may strictly require at least a bachelor's degree to qualify. Only applicants who possess a bachelor's or higher degree may be considered qualified for this class.
A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
Applicants must have a current Driver's License.
