Why does the job exist?

This position supervises the front counter personnel in the Santa Fe, Albuquerque and Las Cruces offices as well as the Call Center Supervisor. The purpose of this position is to supervise each front office and call center staff and to ensure that customers, contractors and members of the public are responded to in a timely manner and are provided the most competent, thorough and efficient customer service. This position responds timely to all IPRA requests and fills in with tasks on a temporary basis as needed when vacancies occur.

How does it get done?

Supervise / manage five front office and one Call Center staff ensuring that front counter and call center is staffed during business hours for efficiency in meeting contractor and public needs. Support staff to provide superior customer services, to maintain the integrity of the customer service responsibilities of the Divisions and to ensure employees adhere to RLD and division procedures and policies. Records custodian for CID / MHD. Manage division compliance with requests for public records through the Inspection of Public Records Act [IPRA] in coordination with employees of the Divisions and the Office of General Counsel of RLD. Run Modular Program, process Annual Permit requests and Handyman Certificates.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience, great customer service, work with databases, be flexible as well as able to multi-task and work well under pressure.

Experience managing teams, guiding them to meet objectives, and resolving conflicts. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are crucial.

Capable of coaching, mentoring and developing staff members, fostering a positive work culture, and supporting career growth.

Minimum Qualification

A Bachelor's degree in any field of study from an accredited college or university and six (6) years of professional level experience with a tactical impact directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and / or direct experience in this occupation totaling ten (10) years may substitute for the required education and experience. A hiring agency will designate a portion of the required experience to include supervisory and / or specialized experience. Any required licensure, certification or registration shall be defined at the time of recruitment and will be in addition to the above requirements.

Employment Requirements

Must be able to pass a background check and maintain a valid driver's license.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual / Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required. Some travel may be required.
