The New Mexico Board of Pharmacy regulates the pharmaceutical industry that includes licensing pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacist interns, pharmacies, hospitals, nursing homes, public health clinics, drug research facilities, and boarding homes.

The position will provide accurate, detailed, organized and timely support to the board, licensees, and applicants.
How does it get done?
Key Responsibilities Include :
Process licenses and manage documents :
- Online and paper applications and renewal applications;
- Prepare files for new applications;
- File all applications, attachments, and required reporting documents to appropriate file;
- Process requests for license amendment and status change;
- Mail renewal notices prior to expiration date for all licenses.
Provide prompt, courteous and accurate customer service; and administrative support.
Perform additional tasks and assignments as requested. May include document collection and preparation for
IPRA requests and subpoenas.
Who are the customers?
Customers include the public, licensees, license applicants, and board of pharmacy staff and members.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills; organizational skills; communication skills; and will accurately and efficiently handle responsibilities and assignments to fulfill job related duties. The ideal candidate will perform routine responsibilities without assignment or prompting, in a timely and accurate manner.
Minimum Qualification
High School diploma or Equivalency and two (2) years of experience in office administration, budgeting, purchasing, finance, accounting, auditing, cash management, and / or contract management. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and / or direct experience in this occupation totaling two (2) years may substitute for the required experience.

Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification within 90 days of employment. Must be able to pass a background check.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual / Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage; extended periods of sitting. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
