Why does the job exist?
This position assists the Oil Conservation Division's (OCD) Engineering Bureau's Administrative and Field Inspections Program to ensure OCD goals and objectives are met. This position primarily will conduct well and facility file reviews, well and facility inspections for administrative compliance, witness testing such as MIT and Braidenhead testing; witness well plugging; help identify leaks, releases, and incidents for the OCD Environmental Bureau to investigate; review OCD paperwork and data entry; and other duties as assigned. This position will require in-depth familiarity or ability to quickly learn the Oil and Gas Act and Rules.
How does it get done?
This position will spend the majority of its time in the field inspection oil and gas sites.

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and two (2) years of experience in investigations, regulation, policy, statutory, and/or contract compliance. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must maintain and possess a current New Mexico Driver¿s License
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. In-state and out-of-state travel may be required. Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
